Personal Skills Development Ideas

Ideas for skills in need/want of development:
- Audio (editing, affects, software and hardware learning) is not something I know much about currently, theory and practical wise. I think it would be useful for me to learn more.
- Lighting (using professional and amateur setups to create interesting lighting situations)
- Presenting 'serious' presentations/information (have been told by Suzy it would be useful to practise presenting non-comedic presentations, as I am good at non-serious ones but may not be for other)
- After Effects as a whole

5 Skills to improve:
1. Lighting (regular & creative)
2. Professional audio recording (using lapel mics, boom mics, XLR & phantom power kits)
3. Multi-cam filming put into editing
4. Adobe Audition (generally learning & getting used to using the program)
5. Adobe After Effects (learning more basics of the program)

5 Projects that will help improve these skills:
1. Play around with lighting and record some cool looking shots with them (potentially could be done as a part of the Unit 3 project)
2 (& 4). Record a video (specific content unsure of currently) using lots of different types of audio recording hardware, then create a final video of all those pieces of footage and audio with each sounding as good, crisp and clean as I possibly can make them sound
3. Record something using as many cameras as possible, then edit them into one competent video using multi-camera editing.
5. Follow a (slightly above beginner) tutorial and complete to a good standard

+ Lego stop motion group project (I helped edit and some frames)

FINAL DECISIONS ON THE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS:
1 - Make a website for business (will hold contact details, portfolio, etc)
2 - Improve my skills at Adobe After Effects (follow an After Effects tutorial online to completion)
3 - Create a video which is edited using the 'Multi-cam Sequence' mode on Adobe Premiere Pro
4 - Improve my skills at Adobe Audition (follow an Audition tutorial online to lowering pitch of audio along with a reverb effect)
5 - Improving at regular and creative lighting setups (make a video project which involves lots of practical lighting)
