My Logo: Rationale
Above is the version of the current idea I have for what my business's logo will look like. As a reminder, the current vision statement which was created for my business is: "Help to create a large variety of impactful and purposeful projects all over the country, while encouraging and improving the creative side of the local area", with the mission statement being "To assist aspiring filmmakers, online creators and businesses with the post-production aspects of creating the quality video projects they aspire to".
The circle design was made for a few reasons; the circle is a very commonly used shape when it comes to logos and branding for businesses, and it is seen by many (such as by the creators of the current Starbucks logo) as something which represents 'eternity', due to it having no beginning or end point. This eternity represents the impact and memorability that's always being strived towards for each of the video projects my company will accept and produce for my clients. The circle used here specifically is not a clean circle also, it is one which resembles a hand drawn shape. This is a representation of how this business is one of creativity, made by individuals by hand.
The main colours seen in the logo are blue, purple, white, black, and navy, with the purple and blue acting as the main colour scheme for the branding. These colours are often seen to mean a lot of things for logos, but in this situation, is meant to resemble the 'creativity', 'respectable', 'original' and 'compassion' that drives the creation of all of the business's projects. Similarly, the blue which runs alongside it stands for the 'trust', 'success' and 'communication' that can be expected from potential clients when working with me.
The brand name itself is 'Memento', which is the Latin phrase that translates to 'Remember'. Once again, this reflects the impact and memorability factor which goes into all of the videos the business will make for clients. The 'O' in the logo has been replaced by an eye however, resemble the individuality of both the company and the client, with each project being made specifically for each client, meeting their unique needs and wants.
