My name is Will and welcome... to the void.

I'm sure you know the drill by now, socially awkward YouTube man tries to introduce himself in a way that makes him sound just that..  little bit massively more interesting than he actually is. And i decided to do it in a format thats copying these so thats fun.  I've been making videos basically since I was 12 years old, all the way 7 years ago... f*ck. Back when i looked like this... and this... and thi- Over that time I've made a LOT of different stuff, and somewhere along that path, got addicted to editing... unless that wasn't clear by now.

This is something that,  as cringey as it might be to some people and as embarrassed i might be sharing this stuff with new people i meet, means a lot to me and is something i am extremely passionate about, and have been for the better part of a decade. To the extent that i even have a tattoo with my YouTube name on my wrist, because yes - I'm that sad.

Evaluation:
As an induction task, I really enjoyed spending my lesson times working and planning this project. I feel as if the freedom we were given as students in terms of what exactly to create as our piece to show the class was great, allowing us to show off our creative skills in a fun way, both for us making it and everyone else watching/listening once finishing. It also gave a chance for students who may not have been sop sure as to what creative skills they had to figure that out, potentially finding a new skill or learning an extra one for the project while making it. In terms of the final product I made and presented to the class, I was very proud of the short couple-minute video introduction I made, introducing myself in what I believed to be a way that showed off my personality to an extent, as well as my humour and editing skills I have taught myself over the last several years. I spent a lot of time editing the video, (maybe longer than I needed to) but I enjoyed adding extra little parts to it to make the video "better" in my opinion. If I had to change anything looking back, I would likely decide to script the video a bit more, giving myself more of an opportunity within the video to present my past examples of edits I have done in the past to give off a better idea of the variety of types of stuff I am able to make, while also maybe including something to do with lighting (which is something I have more recently became interested in).
