Does the branding you have seen from me so far for the business (the logos and the website) seem in your opinion to suite the overall feel and stated intentions of the company? 3. Do you think the business could be financially viable?  4. What problems do you think it might encounter? 5. What do you like/dislike about the branding? 6. - Details of the placement, including where, contact, duration and reason / link to creative enterprise. As a whole class, we were requested by Charlotte Lanham to assist the media coverage side of a 'Heritage event' which was being held at the sixth form's ground across two days. As a result, I personally during these two days, instead of attending usual lesson times, assisted with the filming of some talks which were held in A39, as well as filming some more miscellaneous pieces of footage such as drone flying and other activities happening throughout the day, and finally dealing with some of the file sorting towards the end of the event. - A completed Employer Engagement / Work Experience Evaluation & Feedback Form equivalent from GroFar. - Any photo or video evidence from the opportunity.  https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0bqhgfs

Financial Breakdown

Revenue streams (regular ongoing income – advertising, retainers for work etc.) Due to the nature of my business, the primary source of income I would be getting from running the company would be the direct payments from the clients who I decide to work with. The amount I would be making from each client and their brief will be dependant on the type of content they would want me to edit for them, such as the length and purpose of said content, the complexity of the edits they request, and other similar details, leading to a discussion between me and the client settling on whatever price point we would both be happy with. It is important to note that as a result, the regular monthly income for the business would not be the same each month. On top of this, there is the possibility that I could gain a small, extra amount of income from running advertisements on the business's official social media posts, on platforms that allow that option, such as YouTube, Facebook or Twitter. For Yo...

Vague Marketing Plan Info

Image
Marketing & Advertising Plan Explained: As an individual running a business, there are many ways I could attempt to market myself in an attempt to reach and achieve potential customers. Online marketing will be important for many reasons, such as it being a great way to reach massive amounts of people and the fact that the people making the content I want to target will likely have an online presence of some sort and be more likely to come across our marketing as a result. Types of online marketing which may be of use to the business could include making ads that display on content on YouTube (or google ads in general), or creating some kind of social media presence on sites where video content is often posted (Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc) as to reach the kind of creators we are hoping to work for. For example, advertising can be done on Facebook in order to appeal to the older audience, such as business who are likely to need promotional content edited, while it can also be...

Some Extra Analysis*

Roughly 5 Key things I have learnt about the creative industry I am developing through my researching: 1 - The large importance and usefulness of well laid out and updated 'portfolios' and/or show-reels of past work, as to show the capabilities and flexibility of an editor's skillsets. 2 - Multiple versions of edits are to be expected when completing someone's brief (meaning that an editor should expect to have their first finished version of the project sent back and given feedback for it to be changed). 3 - Simply reaching out to large corporations (such as a phone call or an email) and asking if they may have any work for you, is a realistic and feasible way of getting jobs and potentially long-lasting business relationships in this industry. 4 - While it may take some initial jobs where you aren't charging as much as your work is due to completely learn your service's worth, different types of editing jobs will cost different amounts (based on varying aspect...

Task 5: Legislation and the creative industries

Intellectual Property Someone's 'Intellectual Property' (often shortened to their 'IP') is most often the phrase that refers to a person's ownership of an idea or design that they came up with. The term is one used in property law, giving the person(s) who initially created whatever creative work/property in question certain exclusive rights to it, meaning that nobody else is legally allowed to copy or reuse said creation without first gaining permissions directly from the IP owner. As a result, the creative work is often treated similarly to a physical property/asset in importance. Copyright (creative pieces, i.e., written work, moving image work, music, etc.) The phrase 'copyright' refers to the assignable, exclusive right the creator of a piece of media or any other creation is given for a fixed number of years, in order to be able to use and distribute that creation they made; often, (unless stated otherwise like with 'royalty-free' pieces of...
